Youth Day<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Range is back to normal operation starting April 16 at 6 AM.<\/strong>
The construction project on the rifle bays is finished, and the range is back to normal operation.  The range is now open during regular hours, and the rifle bays are available for your use.  Thank you to our Grounds Chairman Jeff Webber and his crew for completing these improvements well ahead of schedule.
This project furthers the goal of retaining on our property all shot bullets.  The back impact berms for the 400- and 500-yard bays have been raised to thirty feet, extended to the East, and connected.  This has enhanced the shielding for our neighbors to the South thereby abating stray bullet instances like that of December 26, 2025.
This said, we all must still do our part by following these and the other range rules:<\/strong>
\u2022\tThe hung steel target plates in the 100-, 200-, and 300-yard bunkers must only be shot from benches 1 through 6.
\u2022\tOnly the hung steel target plates are allowed to be shot in the bunkers.  No other targets are allowed to be placed within the bunkers.  There must be no intentional shooting of the protective plates, posts, or walls. 
\u2022\tExcept for the above, do not shoot at an angle across the bay.  Targets must be placed as straight ahead of firing line location as possible so that the bullets will be stopped by the back berm.
\u2022\tConsider the trajectory of your bullet.  Place your target at a height so that you do not shoot over the back berm.
\u2022\tMake sure that your rifle is properly zeroed for the distance to your target from the firing line.
\u2022\tGround targets are not allowed on the rifle bays.  Do not place cans, plastic bottles, self-healing \u2018jump-style\u2019 targets, or similar items on the ground and shoot at them.  This can lead to bullets hopping over the berm.
\u2022\tExecute a ceasefire if someone is downrange even if off our property.  This includes farmers in the fields to the West and South of the bays.
\u2022\tIf the red lights are activated, the bays are closed to protect our neighbors working downrange on adjoining properties.

Red Brush Rifle Range is a full-featured rifle range in Southern Indiana, just east of Evansville<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The range consists of a 500 yard rifle bay, a 375 yard rifle bay, a 100 yard rifle\/pistol bay, and 9 additional pistol bays (with ranges of 50-100 yards)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hours for firearms usage is: 6:00 AM through 10:30 PM Sunday through Thursday and 6:00 AM through 12:00 AM Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are host to numerous competitive shooting events, including Precision Rifle Challange (PRS), IDPA, Steel Challenge, Bowling Pin, Sub-Gun, Military Rifle Match, AR-15 Match, Appleseed, and more. While we don\u2019t have formal trap or skeet setups, members are free to bring their own traps and practice their shotgun skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While visitors are welcome at sanctioned shooting events, unlimited access to the range requires club membership<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
