How to Pre-Register Beginning March 30th, 2025
Send an email to redbrushyouthfest@yahoo.com with the Subject: NRA Youth Day Registration and the following information:
- name(s), age, birthdate
- Address of participant(s)
- phone number
- Parent/Guardian name
Youths under the age of 18 must have the consent of both parents (or a custodial parent/guardian) to participate. Please print and complete two copies of the registration packet on the site for each youth participating and bring them to the range the morning of the event.

1. To promote safety awareness concerning firearms
2. To provide a safe hands-on learning environment under the supervision of experienced shooters and Instructors.
3. Promote shooting sports as family activities

6am – 7am ……..Volunteer Sign-in
7am – 8am..…….Check-in for Pre-Registered youth
8am – 8:30am……….Registration Wait List and Walk-Ins (limited)
8:30am – 9am……….Intro to Range, Pledge of Allegiance, Opening Prayer
9am – 12pm….…..….Shooting activities with Instructors
12pm – 1pm….…..….Lunch

Who is invited:
Anyone between the ages of 9-18 yrs.
Pre-registration is not required, but would be very appreciated.

Activities at Bay 1 (Pistol) will involve:
1. An Instructor will be speaking to the entire group about gun safety and Range rules.
2. There will be 12 youths at the firing line at a time along with 12 adults.
3. Each youth will get to shoot 5 rounds at 3 paper targets. (total 15 rounds)
Activities at Bays 2 & 3 (Shotguns) will involve:
1. An Instructor will be speaking to the entire group about gun safety and Range rules.
2. There will be 6 youths at a time at the firing line in each bay, along with 4 adults.
3. Each youth will get 5 attempts to shoot at a thrown clay target or static targets.
Activities at Bay 4 (Air Rifle) will involve:
1. An Instructor will be speaking to the entire group about gun safety and Range rules.
2. There will be 6 youths at the firing line at a time along with 6 adults.
3. Each youth will get to shoot 5 rounds at 3 paper targets. (total 15 rounds)
Activities at Lakeside (Archery) will involve:
1. An Instructor will be speaking to the entire group about gun safety and Range rules
2. There will be 6 youths at the firing line at a time along with 8 adults.
3. Each youth will get to shoot 5 rounds at 3 paper targets. (total 15 rounds)
Activities at the 300 yd range (.22 Rifles) will involve:
1. An Instructor will be speaking to the entire group about gun safety and Range rules.
2. There will be 12 youths at the firing line at a time along with 12 adults.
3. Each youth will get to shoot 5 rounds at 3 paper targets. (total 15 rounds)
This is not a competition. This is an opportunity for young people to learn gun safety, and to experience the fun that the shooting sports can bring.
Red Brush will Provide:
1. Instructors for each event
2. Archery, shotguns, 22 cal. rifles, 22 cal. pistols, air-rifles and appropriate ammunition
3. A representative from the DNR if available the day of the event
4. Lunch
5. Eye and ear protection
6. Parking, shelter, and restrooms
7. Attendance Prizes to be announced
